Prominent zygomatic regions are not considered aesthetic in the Orient. So, malar reduction is one of the common aesthetic procedures. Various techniques for malar reduction including shaving, partial ostectomy and reposition, infracturing through various approaches have been reported.
 But there are not certain standrd reductin degrees for prominence. The authors made a standard aesthetic angles of zygoma and new classification for each types in Orientals, and planning for reducing degree. And the authors adapted various approaches and techniques according to the various types, and the planning for more perfect surgery.
 This article discusses evaluation methods, planning and various techniques for the malar reduction in detail and presents some cases of us.
