Uncertain, few methods have been described for correcting pixy ear: Simple excision, augmentation of ear lobe and anterior rotation of flap, etc.
Common problems after correction of pixy ear are noticeable scar, uncertain correction of ear lobe, deficient volume of ear lobe.
We have used the simple method with a triangular flap for correction of pixy ear deformity.
Posterior rotation of triangular flap for correction of pixy ear has several merits, which are more voluminous appearance of ear lobe, no visible scar after correction, easy operative technique.
